The family laughs at me sleeping in the middle of the floor. Even Myst thinks I am crazy. I have my reasons: I am ready if anything interesting comes into the kitchen, when my humans talk with each other I can come running and get between them (a favorite pasttime) and the carpet is a comfortable, padded place.
We have so much in common. When mom comes searching for me, I'm usually asleep in the middle of the hallway.
