Ah, Sleep! Is there anything in life better than sleep? Well, not at this moment, there is not.I could write an ode to sleep, but, well ... I am too sleepy.
My name is Myst. I am Muddy's adopted brother and I learned a lot about blogging from growing up with him.
Ah, Sleep! Is there anything in life better than sleep? Well, not at this moment, there is not.
Yes, I know this is usually Myst's sleeping spot. Myst is not around right now and the chair was prewarmed. If I jump in real quick while it is vacant and lay my head down and look like I have been sleeping here for hours, then maybe nobody will make me leave.
Grooming is very important. Not only that, it is a handy thing to do when bored or when I reach a moment of indecision.
Sure, he looks all sweet and fluffy. He is the smallest cat in the house, but he rules. Well, Dandelion thinks *he* rules and thus we have to keep them both separated.
I love Easter time! I get to chase these round wobbly things all over the floor. When that baby human comes over, he chases them too. While Myst loves chasing shadows and Dandelion loves crickets, I prefer these weird-shaped things.
I am not allowed to sleep up here on these boxes. You know what that means. That is the one place I am DYING to sleep and will, of course.
There are not many curtains in our house, but we have blinds. Terry says, with cats, blinds are much easier. I like them. Dandelion taught us how to part blinds careful so we can look out and we are very careful with them. Well, normally we are. When there's a flying bug around we jump, run, rattle and crash all over them.
I do not want to stay in the house today. Of course, I am not *really* outside, just out in the garage which is more like a family room and library, but the garage is a touch warmer than the house and I prefer to sleep in the warmest spot I can find. It has some nice windows and a cat pole, too.
When playing with us cats, be careful. We play very seriously. As you see, when I play, I give it all I've got. "Paws-Under-the-Door" is one of my favorite games in the whole world.
Yes, I realize that I am not quite on the blanket, not on the sofa, that I am wedged in kind of funny, but I am too sleepy to care and this spot is nice and warm now.
Myst loves spring, especially March because it is windy. All kinds of things blow by the window and he gets very alert, ready to pounce on anything that might happen to float through the glass.
It never fails, where there's a mouse, there's a cat. Myst likes to bite Terry's hand when she uses this mouse. She says, "Oh well, I will never get carpal tunnel."
Prewarmed chairs are the best. Myst especially likes this computer chair because the sunlight shines on it from the window and he can soak up some rays once in a while.
I like to sleep on the sofa with my paws stretched out. Terry says I look cute, but I am just being the most comfortable. She also says I am a fuzzball with legs sticking out.

Dandelion enjoys his birthday letter from our pet human's niece. He is 18 now, but active and healthy and expects to be around a long time.
Last night there was a fly in the house!! What fun! Myst and I chased that thing all over the house, jumping on anyone and anything to get it.
It's not often I see these round popping things. I took a good look, but once I got my eyes stung, I decided to stay away from them. Still, they are curious things.
Today is Dandelion's 18th Birthday!! He is still active and healthy. See more photos of him at --> http://tinyurl.com/27qve8. He's my hero.
The family is up and around in the daylight now instead of the dark. I think my humans are happier these days although they complain a lot about having to change clocks twice a year. Terry says we do not need this. The world is a 24-hour place anyway and we should stay on it all the time or stay off, but time shifting is just wrong, she says.
Oh my gosh!!! There's a wasp on the ceiling! I MUST, just MUST get that wasp at ANY cost. It does not matter what I knock over, who I jump on, or how I get there, but I MUST MUST MUST get to the ceiling. I have been leaping off the floor as high as I can. Maybe if I try REAL HARD, I can jump up to the ceiling!!
