Amusing Toy

As a kitten, I chased the ball in this ring until I dropped from exhaustion. But today, I prefer to watch my pet humans roll it in an effort to get me interested. It is more fun to watch them than the ball, though.

Argh!!! My pet human and I were climbing the walls (well I always try to climb the walls anyway). Our Internet was down for days to due an error outside the house by the cable company. It is now fixed. Whew!

How to Wake a Human

Terry was very sleepy this morning. Myst could not wake her, but then he has a gentle quiet meow and softly pads about the place. Richard could not wake her because he didn't want to shake her awake and she was not responding to soft sounds. So they got me.

I was determined. I maintain a strict policy that NO HUMAN should ever sleep if I am awake, thus I went directly into the middle of the room, and seeing an inert human, let out the biggest loudest (because I am part Siamese) "MEOOOOOWWWWWWW!" you ever heard. It worked.

Afterwards, we all got served breakfast, got brushing and other fine attention. My job was done, but such good results means I will do this again -- and often.

I Love Mondays

Oh joy! It's laundry day. What better to sleep on than just washed and WARM clothes?!!

Shoes are wonderful things. They smell interesting 'cause they've been places. Humans are likely to step into them and I get a pet if I am nearby. Sometimes they are fun to chew on. I love shoes.

Attack of the Evil Crinkly Paper

It has RETURNED! That evil crinkly paper did not learn its lesson. It is trying to take over the sleeping spot, but no worries. The powerful white panther valiantly defended his home and taught it who is really the boss around here. The evil paper retreated in fear and shame. But Myst is ever on the alert should it return.

I See It!

Oh yes. Yep. Uh-huh -- that's a bug over there. One of those really cool-looking ones with wings. Gotta get it to come over here close so I can thwap it.

Top of the Cat Pole

The top of the cat pole comes here. We had our humans build a custom cat pole with a nice platform on top that reaches just to this window and we takes turns being on the topmost seat, looking over the world.

Getting a Good Look

Most of the time, I am pretty content to sit in the chair and watch the action outside, but sometimes I feel like getting as close as possible to those birds out there. Who knows? Maybe one of those delectable goodies will listen to me and fly in front of my paw.

New Toys

Sometimes one of my pet humans will grumble something about "oh well wasted that one" and throw me a shining new toy. I don't understand why they would grumble. These are great things to paw around on the smooth kitchen floor and sometimes I can flip one in the air.

Mighty White Panther

The mighty white panther guards his resting place with a show of claw and tooth, ready to shred to pieces all of those who dare to intrude upon his lair such as the evil blue crinkly paper.

Dessert on the Wing

It's a nice day for watching birds. I like this warmer weather. More dessert, er, birds, fly by this time of year.

Sweet & Innocent

Smooth flat surfaces are for sitting on, even sleeping on. Dandelion totally agrees with this. Terry held a clicking cell phone in front of him, but he had very little to say. Terry is a bit sad though. She has a dear friend who was mistreated by another. There are so many selfish people in the world who do not care if they hurt others to get their way, she says.

These humans could learn a thing or two from cats. Meowing sweetly and lots of purring works for me. I most always get my way -- and Dandelion has perfected the sweet and innocent look. See?!! Who could ever deny us anything?

Myst is Not the Only One

Myst is not the only one who sleeps on top of computer parts. See? I am quite comfortable... well fairly comfortable ... sort of.

My Day Job

Here I am doing my regular day job. I inspect all boxes, bags and sundry items that come into the house. You just never know where they have been.

Award-Winning Photo

Woo hoo! This photo of Myst won an "Edtior's Pick" award at TextAmerica.

He looks like he is smiling I think - well he is pretty proud to have this new sleeping spot, although Terry is not sure about all the fur up there. Sometimes he hangs his tail right over the monitor and she has to keep moving it out of the way. I know how to fix that --- just pounce on him, which I do from time to time to keep Myst humble.

Utter Relaxation

Granted, I can look pretty dead when I sleep, paws out and flat on my side. While I just look dead, Myst can look utterly relaxed. Little do you know he is ready to pounce on me at any moment. Hmmm, maybe I will come up there and paw at him.

Smart Myst

Myst has decided to sleep on this spot when the computer monitor is not turned on. Of course, it is the very spot where Terry prefers to sit when she is not on the computer. I predict lots of problems ahead here, but my guess is that Myst will decide to sleep in her lap, making it possible for both of them to share that space. Myst is smart, always finding the very warmest places to sleep.

I am sitting out in the middle of the hall. It's just more comfortable to sit with one or both paws stretched out. Others accuse me of just trying to trip someone so I can watch them fall. Of course I would never do that!! Cats are sweet innocent creatures who would never think of being sneaky.

Looking Back

Little noises get my attention, but sometimes I am just too comfortable to get up. Good thing we cats can stretch around so easily to look, although I have heard that some human mothers have eyes in the backs of their heads.

I Am Just a Cute Sleeper

I have been accused of purposely sleeping in a cute way to entice humans to pet me. I can't imagine why anyone could think a cat can be so sneaky and conniving. *cough*

I Am Fierce, Not Tired

Cats like to yawn a lot. Our humans will snap pictures of us and tell everyone what fierce panthers we are with our sharp teeth and large mouths.

Ok, that sounds good to me. Beware all of you birds and mice out there!
