Myst is Home. He is Better.

The vet could find nothing wrong with Myst, though they checked him for a possible reoccurrance of kidney stones and shaved him a little and cleaned him up good and gave him his annual exam a little early.

We did not fight when he came home, which amazed our humans. Mostly, I was scared of him and kept my distance except for occasional slight sniffing cause he smelled strange.

Myst has walked around meowing more often and needing more reassurance. He is restless but I think he will calm in a few days. Our humans are showing much love. We do not know what made him sick for those days but we *do* know he likes to eat bugs and things.

At any rate, he is home and happy to be here.

Terry is eyeing me though and muttering something about my annual physical coming up soon.

Myst is at the Vet's

Terry took Myst to the vet this morning to check him out. He has been sick before. I think he eats anything he finds on the floor. Me too. Terry says we are worse than human babies.

Myst is Sick

Myst is having a little indigestion and making smelly messes. Richard whisked him into the bathroom for a thorough cleaning.

Richard shut the bathroom door and Terry fed paper towels and combs to him through a cracked door. Myst howled and complained so much I felt bad and parked myself right outside the door and stayed there, worried for him.

When he came out, he was soft, clean and fluffy and looked proud of himself for escaping.

A Nice Summer Day

Right now, Myst is looking out of the window. Usually he is just bored and meows at Terry to find some way to entertain him (yes, I do that, too). Today, he led her to the filing cabinet and wanted her to put him on it and open the window, which she did. She is well-trained.

Get Back Inside

Keeping an eye on things outside. I think my humans should come back inside.

Socks Has Been Found

My heart goes out to those who get famous. I am of half a mind to quit myself over this. I hope Sockington will be safely returned.

Sockington is Missing (But he was just in deep hiding and is found now.)

Distracted

I was going to write this blog earlier but when I was here at the keyboard, there was a flash of white at the door. It was Myst, speeding by. I know he was trying to taunt me into chasing him. I was not fooled though I did keep an eye on the doorway.

Whoooompf! Myst runs the other way. I think he is up to something. I thought to take a step or two in his direction and see whats going on.

Another whooompf! That does it! He has gone too far. I have to go take care of this distraction.

Chase! Run! Chase! Pounce! Chase.

Whew, I am back now. I think I taught him a lesson. I am not sure what it was, though, but I showed him who's the boss. I think.

No Photos, Please!

Terry wanted to take a photo. Richard smiled. They thought it would be nice.

NOT ME! Let me down! Let me down! No clicking boxes, please! (Of course, you know, if Terry was not pointing a clicking box at me, I would have been content and purred and looked incredibly cute like I usually do.)

That Was Too Loud

Whew! I am GLAD that annoyance is over. All the loud booming made my ears twitch and made Myst hide.

Terry wants me to say she hopes you all had a happy 4th and soon it will be 12:34:56 on 7/8/9 - silly humans.

Myst Demands His Rights

Terry was working at the computer when Myst came up to her with a "Meow! Meow!" to command her to follow him. She was a bit slow to respond, but eventually she got up to follow him.

He lead her down the hall and into the room where Richard was working on his computer. He sat by Richard's chair and said "Meow! Meow!" Suddenly, Terry realized what had happened. Myst had been sleeping in that chair for the past few days and he wanted it emptied so he could sleep there again.

In other words, he wanted Terry to get Richard to leave, so he could have his bed back. I think that is justified. I do not know why Richard would want to use Myst's sleeping spot anyway. And I REALLY do not understand why our pet humans were laughing so much over this.
