House Sitting

My pet human is visiting a friend's place this week, seeing to the needs of the cats there and other servantly duties. Their names are Emmie and Punkin. Their mom was a Katrina homeless cat.

All I Was Doing Was Minding My Own Business, When....

All I was doing was using the scratching post and Myst was sleeping here, just like in this photo. He must have thought I sounded sassy and thought he should teach me to scratch the post in a more humble manner 'cause he jumped down and pawed at me and chased me! Up and down and up the hall!

That was fun! Hahah! I run FAST!

Oops, She Did It Again!

Myst was sleeping in the garage, on the fuzzy cat pole with a nice window view. Terry thought he might not care if the closet doors were closed. Wrong!

Soon after she shut the closet doors, Myst woke up and found her. He meowed and nagged her to follow him. Eventually she did and he led her to the closet doors, which he tried to paw open while she watched.

She finally got the idea and opened them. He went inside and finished sleeping. She is still shaking her head over how we can suddenly sense a door in another part of the house is closed and why we get so upset over it.

Good Pets are Nice to Have Around

I am very generous. I share my bed with my pet humans. Myst and I will have a long chase and pounce, er, discussion about how to share this bed amongst ourselves later, but my humans are always welcome on my bed. They can be quite amusing.

Humpf! This is MY Bed!

Myst thinks he owns the world, these days. Terry says he is nice bed decor, but this is MY bed! I wonder if this is going to be a habit.

Sleeping

It was warm in there and all I needed was a pillow. The cool floor felt good.

Closed Door Problem

You'd think our humans would learn by now. CLOSED DOORS are against the law! We are waiting here to remind the human behind the door that this is NOT allowed!

So my pet humans have grown animal potatoes! I am waiting to see a cat one.

I Love Work - I Could Watch It All Day

We love when humans are active and doing cute and creative things. The dirt smell in this house is fantastic, too. Humans are so amusing. They make very good pets.

Fun Smelly Toys

Terry calls them "potatoes," but we think they smell GREAT! They are being dug up during this week.

Happy Father's Day to All!

I was fortunate enough to be raised in a nice home with my father and mother and grandmother living with me before I adopted my humans. It was a good home. I wish all men out there a Happy Father's Day!!!

Pole Sitting

He prefers to be one level down. I am not sure why. I think looking out of the window is more fun. Oh well.

New Bedspread

Here it is! The new bedspread. It matches me nicely.

Myst Likes Toys

Myst's favorite toy is a tiny sparkle ball, one that is only about a half inch in diameter (smaller than most stores sells) but with lots of bristly sparkles on it.

I am not much for toys except that I do like paper sacks.

Trying to Help Him Get Out

I really feel sorry for this handsome cat. He is trying to get out. I am trying to get in. There has to be a door here somewhere or maybe a crack I can paw open. We have both been working on this project for years. I think I will figure out something soon.

Myst is Impossible!

Myst thinks he is a conquering king now and he picks on me more. Once I ran to Terry and sat there meowing my annoyance as Myst pawed me. Terry just looked at me. "You are twice his size, Muddy. Why don't you just paw and chase him?"

Instead, I whined at her and she let me into another room and shut the door, giving me some relief. Its not that Myst picks on me a lot and its not that I start half the chasing and pawing, its just that I was not in the mood to be picked on and I got some rest.

Love work, could watch it all day

There is still a lot of cleaning going on around here. Myst keeps a close eye. If the bag rustles too much, he is under the bed instead of on it, so our pet human is moving carefully.

Goodbye Bedspread... Sort Of

Terry says to enjoy this while I can because she is getting a new bedspread soon. Actually, I may get this one cut up into pieces just for us cats to use. I like that idea.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing what my new master bed will be like.

Nice View

Sigh. Dandelion and I used to sit up here together. Myst seems willing to pester me more, though. It does keep my mind off things.

Who Needs a Bed When They Have a Monitor?

Myst is soaking up the heat but he does not stay up there as long now that the days are real hot and will be hot until October sometimes. Summer is very long and very hot in Alabama. I love them. Terry says she would prefer longer springs and falls.

New Scratchpad

We miss Dandelion, even Myst who has nobody to grouch over now. Terry got us another scratch pad to get out the aggressions.

Life Goes On

I keep expecting Dandelion to pop up around the corner, but its usually Myst and he is ready to play these days. Terry is still moving furniture around and bagging up stuff. We have a nice shiny coffee table in the living room and our humans were discussing centerpieces for it.

They decided to get a big bowl as the centerpiece and they filled it with cat toys! Yay! My kind of centerpiece.
