When it was Rocky's turn to chase the laser, he was tired. Usually he is crazy and meows at it, but not today. I think watching everyone else wore him out.
My name is Myst. I am Muddy's adopted brother and I learned a lot about blogging from growing up with him.

Lucky's Turn
Terry visited Lucky and Rocky's house. They live out of town so she takes lots of pictures when she is there. Here Lucky has her trained to wave the laser light around. Rocky and he taught the baby human to chase it (as seen a few days ago at http://bloggingcat.blogspot.com/2008/03/everyone-loves-laser-light.html.) I think they have a lot of fun over that place.

Gloweye is Worse than Redeye
Terry says humans have nothing over cats when it comes to redeye problems. Cats get more glow than humans with a camera flash. We have highly reflective eyes. Here's Rocky who keeps some pet humans with his adopted brother, Lucky.
Terry and Richard's daughter, Jenny and her family, are their pets. We cats try hard to keep the human kids all taken care of and in good homes.

Everyone Loves the Laser Light
Some say that cats are crazy and wild, especially with toys like the laser light. Humans can be just as crazy. Here is Lucky being amused by his playful pet human.
Jenny (my human's daughter), says Rocky, Lucky and Ashton all chase the laser light. Ashton learned how to chase it and slap at it by watching Rocky and Lucky do it, we think. They have taught this little human lots about playing and having fun, I think, as you can see in this movie taken yesterday.

Happy Easter
These great rolling things have sprung up all over the house. I like them better than balls. They are all wobbly and move real well and Terry says that she is always finding them in odd places.
They make an interesting sound when touched. Terry says most of them contain people treats but I have smelled a couple that have good things for cats in them, too!
(P.S. Of course, as soon as a clicking box is pointed at me, I am sure to stop playing with things.)

Looking for the Flashlight
Terry lost her flashlight. She looked under the sofa, then under the bed. She looked on the countertop and in the bathroom and the computer room under her chair. She has not found it yet, but we cats are glad to help her look and I follow along.
I loved when she looked under the bed. When she lifted the bed cover, I crawed under to help her look. She muttered something about how she could not see anything with me there, but I know she was glad for my help.

She Did It Again
It happened again. It has been a long time since the last occurance. Myst was sound asleep on the sofa. It was the middle of the night. Terry had gotten up and gone into another room. She thought there would be no problem. The house was quiet. Everyone was asleep, after all.
Alas, it did not take 5 minutes before Myst realized that a DOOR WAS SHUT and he was clawing and meowing like it was the end of the world. Terry should know better than to close access to herself. Tch! Tch!

Happy Birthday Today! Dandelion is 19!
Today in 1989, Dandelion was born to a calico mother. His siblings were an amazing group. One was short-haired and solid gray, another was a fluffy calico, but nobody looked exactly as he does.
Here is an old picture of him caught in the ungraceful act of yawning. The gray cat in the back is Snappy, his brother. Dandelion grew up to be a wise and good cat, a perfect companion for Jenny who was only 7 at the time. He loves strangers and children. Dandelion is my hero.

Lightning Storm
A big storm was moving in. Myst was looking out of the kitchen window as the sky turned from morning light to dark all in a few minutes. The rain and wind had not hit yet. A few bolts of lightning flashed out of the sky.
You should have seen Myst's eyes! They seemed bigger and wider than mine! He watched the lightning in fascination, perhaps because he loves to chase the laser light and flashlight beams and maybe he thought this would be fun.
Then, BOOM!!! Thunder came very loud. Rain poured down. Myst said, "Forget this!" and ran for his deep dark hiding spot under the sofa. I just sat there watching the whole thing and Dandelion slept. I expect we will not see Myst for most of today. Myst can be pretty amusing sometimes.

Play and Rest
Nothing like a good patch of sun after a moment of teasing my humans. I went into the kitchen, stretched on the wall and clawed a little at the wallpaper.
Terry said, "Hey you! Stop that!" and came over to me. I tossed my head playfully and ran down the hall until she caught me and petted me until I purred. Hmmmm, I will have to scratch the wall again soon.
P.S. My eyes are really this blue. No photo enhancements were used on them.

Pesky Myst
Myst is picking on me a LOT! He comes up and randomly bites me (not hard, but in a VERY annoying manner). I cry out and complain about it and my pet humans will come save me from him.
Terry says I am twice his weight. I should whap him back. She says I can jump higher than him and can easily sit out of reach. Instead I just fuss and fume. Well, why not? It brings my humans running and they pet me and brush me and give me all kinds of attention. Seems like a good working plan to me.

Myst Watches for Terry
Nobody was happier to see Terry come home than Myst. She had been gone for 3 days. He never left her side for the next 24 hours.
Of course, at first we would not let her touch us until we had a very good and VERY long sniffover. Myst even clamped a paw down on her wrist so she would not move until he was done with inspecting. He is very strong. She did not move the whole time he was checking her out.
