Our pet humans still pick up a paper sack from the grocery store now and then, for obvious reasons seen here.
My name is Myst. I am Muddy's adopted brother and I learned a lot about blogging from growing up with him.

I am Sitting Here. I Don't Care if its Your Spot.
Yes, Myst usually sleeps here but today, I just happen to like this spot and I sat here first.
Myst was feeling a little territorial and came up to sit here and show me that this was HIS spot. So here we sit in uneasy comfort, nevermind Terry, who put her hands on her hips and said, "That is MY spot!"

Just Using Strategy
Myst was after me! Or I was after Myst (by this time, I have forgotten). I quickly jumped to the most strategic place in the house - the middle level of the cat stand here. Nobody can paw my back or my tummy from here. This position is pretty much unconquerable.
As you can see, Myst is stymied. As soon as he looks away I will reach up and paw him from my very strategic position here.

No, Thank You, I am Fine Out Here
This is my bed in the garage. Actually, I have 4 beds out here if you count the recycling bin. Terry thinks the garage is a little cool (though its insulated and part of the house and used as a library) and she thinks I should be inside.
When she opened the door and looked at me today, I showed her a slightly annoyed look and a firm refusal to move. I have a nice thick fur coat, a soft bed and what Terry does not realize, is that the sun will shortly be shining in the window and directly onto this bed. I will be ready.
