Myst does not often stare into a mirror. I wonder what he sees and what he dreams of.

Christmas Paper and Bows

My humans have left the house "messy" as they call it.. with paper and bows everywhere. I know it was so Myst and I could pounce through the paper and paw at the bows, nevermind the toy mouse and balls we got! The paper is the most fun.

I was afraid of the visiting relatives while Myst let one of them pet him. I think its because one of the young girls looks a lot like Jenny and Myst especially loves Jenny's ear rubs when she comes over.

Terry says usually I am not afraid and Myst hides, so go figure.

Merry Christmas to You

May I open it now? Please? Please? I just KNOW this bow will be lots of fun.

Waiting... waiting... waiting for Christmas!

When do we get to open them? I love playing in the paper! Maybe I can get away with chewing on a bow....

The Holidays

I love this time of year! There are brightly colored trees IN THE HOUSE, even! And great-smelling boxes come in the mail. New smells of things in the kitchen and cooking things. (I am not really sure why humans bother to cook, but oh well, that's a pet for you.)

We cats can sense the excitement and run up and down the hall more than ever. Today, Myst and I chased each other so much that Terry says she is getting dizzy watching flashes of brown and white go by.

All of this play gets exhausting, too.

Enjoying What Sun I Can Find

Even little patches of sunlight are appreciated in winter, well in any time of year, but especially in winter.

Personal Sleeping Place

Now that its very cold, Myst enjoys his personal heated bed very much. Life is good when you are warm and cozy.

I love that lazy, comfortable look in his eye. Maybe I should come up there and twap him!

New Pet at Rocky's House

Rocky and Lucky (two cats who own Terry's daughter and her family) got a new pet human this month. Jenny had a baby, a girl named Katelyn. Rocky and Lucky are going to be very busy with their pets these days.

P.S. Terry has had a bad cold and I have spent my time watching her, but I am back to blogging now.

Curious Holiday Things

Myst wonders if a real bird is in there or if the snow can be pawed. It smells curious, though.

The Tree is Up

The tree is going up. Its much fun to sniff. Myst and I are not inclined to climb in this one since it is small and well, kind of flimsy, and we are not the kind who relish crashing. I know that some of you like to climb trees and real ones are the most fun to climb!

Contentment

A patch of sunlight is a good thing. I do not even mind if it gets in my eyes. Its all good. I am glad I found this place first, before anybody else got to it.

It feels soooo good here.

Watching Closely

He is coming around the corner any minute now and I will be ready. Myst will never know what hit him.

The Day After

Everyone is talking about diets versus leftovers here and I figure its just another one of those puzzling things about humans. Though, I *do* think adding mouse and fresh-caught backyard bird would not hurt my diet.

After a day of extra good eating, sleep and lazing around is extra good. We hope you had a very wonderful Thanksgiving.

Getting Ready for the Big Day

I love holidays and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Thanksgiving! I am thankful when we get TURKEY. For once, I agree with humans on the lunch menu and am happy they are not off eating who-knows-what strange thing that humans find.

Myst and I hope all of you have a happy, thankful, enjoyable day tomorrow.

Middle of the Kitchen

Its a morning of humans running around. Here I sit in the middle of the kitchen floor, watching humans step over me a lot, sometimes carrying briefcases or dishes, taking big steps back and forth. Once in a while they look at me and mutter something. This is great fun.

Catnapping

Keeping an eye on humans and catching some sleep at the same time. It's a fine art.

Some cats walk about with tails up, some down a little lower, and this is how I walk around as I inspect this old dresser that Terry is throwing out.

Meet Sneakers

My cousin, Sneakers has a blog now! Her human and my human are sisters but they live some distance apart. We can compare notes to keep our humans well-trained. Its a never-ending job, you know.

Where is He? I am Going to Get Him!

I am ready for that sneaky Myst, due to come around the corner any minute!

We have been running up and down the hall, more active than ever these days. Whether it is the fall weather, the moist cat food that we get more often (it has been real good for me and I hardly throw up any more) or what, Myst and I have been energetic. It's a good thing.

Vote

The decisions to be made today were not easy ones. We spent much time debating over it all and considering all candidates, not just the main two. In the long run, Myst & I voted for chicken over tuna, beef and other choices. I wish we had mouse-flavored treats. I think that would be the best of all.
